@james lack of calibration, maybe.
the server charges 24/7, until the power goes out (which happened today, and also apparently will tomorrow), then it finally gets a discharge. some discharging later, "oh wait i think it's this low now" after getting some info or something.
at least, i guess that's what's happening.
